How Online Donations Can Support EOD & Search Personnel
We have all faced strange times in recent months and this will no doubt become more difficult in some ways as we face recession.
Like many charities Felix fund has worked hard to deliver business as usual for those we help. With Covid-19 emergency grants for veterans suddenly receiving little or no income and producing a virtual version of our Dashboard program.
We Need Your Help
With a one-off online donation, you can support the men and women who keep us all safe.
Large or small you can make a difference through Just Giving.
Online one-off donations grew in volume by 26% year on year in 2019, while overall value increased by almost 20%.
How Your Support will be Used
As a small charity Felix Fund can provide tailored support to our community – a decision can be made to help someone in need and the money can be in their account in a matter of hours if necessary.
Examples of recent help include:
A young reservist who had got into difficulties with rent arrears, the bailiffs were on his doorstep while he was at work and his sick mother could do nothing. An agreed stay of execution meant Felix Fund could get funds to him within a couple of hours to help towards his repayment.
A former soldier who had served EOD & Search and who has suffered both mentally and physically since leaving the Army, Nick now deals with having complex PTSD and epilepsy. Something that is never going to be easy, but Nick has help in the form of Marley his assistance dog.
Marley goes everywhere with Nick to ensure he is safe and feels secure, but Nick and his wife had issues finding the money to purchase a suitable car cage to transport Marley safely and legally. Approaching Felix Fund for help we were able to provide the funds to enable them to purchase an appropriate crate for their vehicle.
A one-off donation will help us support more cases like this.
