Support for Felix Fund from the Veterans’ Foundation

Felix Fund was thrilled to receive a substantial grant from the Veterans’ Foundation in support of our Dashboard program recently. This funding will enable us to provide places on these courses for an additional 20 veterans.

Having had to cancel all residential courses over the past year due to the Covid-19 lockdowns it is a big boost to Felix Fund to receive this grant as we start to reopen the program. Dates for courses for the remainder of 2021 can be found under our Events page.

Any veterans who feel this might benefit them please contact [email protected] for more information.

Major General David Shaw of the Veterans’ Foundation describes what they do:

“The Veterans’ Foundation has been set up to help fund charities and other charitable organisations that are helping serving and former members of the Armed Forces, and their dependants, who are in need.”

“The Veterans’ Foundation raises its money through the Veterans’ Lottery and donations. Since inception in July 2016, it has given over £6.1 million out in grants to about 250 organisations and projects, many of them small to medium-sized and very worthwhile charities, which are helping members of the Armed Forces community who are in need. Forecasts indicate the Veterans’ Foundation will make grants totaling £3 million this financial year.  The charities and other organisations we have helped include those tackling the challenges of mental and physical injuries, homelessness, unemployment, children’s loss of parents while serving and remembrance.  We encourage you to spread the word.”

“We are grateful for the public’s support of the Veterans’ Foundation and its Veterans’ Lottery, and we encourage you to spread the word.”
